This study is a continuation of a previous consultancy realized in May, 2005. The objective is the numerical assessment of the impact that has the existence of water rights in hydroelectric systems. This assessment will be focused on quantifying the effects on the production of electric power due to the existence of different hypotheses of negative inflows in the hydrobasin Segre-Pallaresa. In order to develop this study, the IIT team will make use of the model EXLA: a tool for planning the management of hydro reservoirs in the mid-term in a competitive electricity market.
